What it is
A soft-bodied animal that still creeps across damp forest floors tonight, on stubby legs in pairs. When Hallucigenia was finally turned the right way up, it looked oddly like one.
How we know they're related
Hallucigenia's claws were built as cones stacked inside cones, the same way a velvet worm builds its claws.
